DR.VASANTHA SUDHANANDHEN M.A., B.Ed.

M.P.Nachimuthu M.Jaganathan Engineering College was instituted with a clear vision and objective of providing futuristic education with holistic and scholastic learning. The college was started in 1984 as a Polytechnic College by the great Philanthropist and eminent educationlist "Udyog Rattan" Thiru.J.Sudhanandhen, with a vision to serve the educational needs of society. Then it was upgraded to an Engineering College in 2001. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

The patronage and tireless efforts through heart and soul by "Udyog Rattan" Thiru. J. Sudhanandhen have made this institution a premier center for engineering education in the state. Following the foot prints of the Legend, the present Correspondent "Bharat Vidya Shiromani" Dr. Vasantha Sudhanandhen who has been rightly awarded with "Kalvi Maamani Award" and "ICT Women Edupreneur Award" for her excellent service in the education field, leads the institution in a prominent path. Her significant guidance has made this college achieve glorious heights.

Dr.Vasantha Sudhanandhen is the wife of the Legend Udyog Rattan Thiru.J.Sudhanandhen who was a great philanthropist, a renowned educationist and a passionate social reformer. Udyog Rattan Thiru.J.Sudhanandhen was honored with many awards such as "Nesavalar Nesan","Udyog Rattan", "Sevai Semmal", "Life Time Achiever", "Life Time Worker" Award etc. for his remarkable selfless service to the society. Also, for his great contribution in the field of education, he was conferred with Kalvi Kavalar Award and Award of excellence in Education.

Being the wife of such a great man, "Bharat Vidya Shiromani" Dr.Vasantha Sudhanandhen too has tied up herself with various social organizations and renders her notable service to the society. She was the "Charter President" of the Inner Wheel club of Erode Cosmos and also has been the President thrice from 2000 to 2013. Now she is the Vice President of Inner Wheel club of Erode Cosmos. She is keenly interested in women's development and so she associates herself with various women associations. She is the "President" of Women's wing of South Indian Sengunthar Mahajana Sangam. Also, she is the "President" of Women Development Cell of M.P.N.M.J.Engineering College.

By following the foot prints of the great educationist, Thiru.J.Sudhanandhen, Dr.Vasantha Sudhanandhen contributes a commendable service in the educational field by administering various education institutions. She is the correspondent of M.P.Nachimuthu M.Jaganathan Engineering College, Chennimalai which runs in a prominent path under her able management. The college was started in the year 1984 as a polytechnic and was upgraded to an engineering college in 2001 due to the possession of all the required facilities. At present it offers six UG courses and five PG courses and MBA, MCA. It provides excellent engineering college with good infrastructure and in-house facilities at low fee cost. The motive of the institution is to provide high quality technical education to the rural and economically deprived students. Also, meritorious student are given free education and fee concession depending on their percentage of marks.

Besides, she is the President of Muthulakshmi Jaganathan Educational Trust through which a scholarship amount of Rs.25, 000 is offered every year to the poor students. She is the Vice President of Mottaiappar Middle School, Vallipurathanpalayam. She played a vital role in the administration of Sengunthar Vidhalaya from 1992 to 2003. Also, she is the member of Sengunthar Kalvi Kazhagam. Apart from these, she also serves as a director of Erode Weaver's Cooperative Society. Also recently she has been elected as the State Executive Committee Member of South Indian Sengunthar Maahajana Sangam.

As recognition for her unique service,she was bestowed with the "Best Social Worker" Award in the year 2008 by Gold Plus,Erode. For her exemplary achievements, the Muslim Cultural Academy awarded her with "Life Time Achiever" Award on 02.07.2011 and Raj TV Media Groups awarded "Annai Teresa" on 25.05.2013. Also to mark her Excellent Educational service, Dr.Vasantha Sudhanandhen has been awarded with "Bharat Vidya Shiromani" by Indian Solidary Council,New Delhi in 2013 and "Kalvi Maamani" Award by the kerala State Association and Gayathri Cultural Association. Apart from rendering services by chairing various positions in various institutions and organizations, personally, she extends her helping hand to the orphanages, disabled homes and many poor families.

As a mark of her remarkable service, our beloved correspondent "Bharat Vidya Shiromani" Dr.Vasantha Sudhanandhen has been awarded with "HONOURARY DOCTORATE DEGREE" by NEW INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY on 24.01.2014.

"AMBUR NAGARA SENGUNTHAR MAGAJANA SANGAM" honoured our beloved Correpondent "Bharat Vidya Shiromani" Dr.Vasantha Sudhanandhen by giving most prestigious award "SEVAI MAMANI" on 23.08.2015 for providing free Engineering Education to the students with poor financial background.
